Are you eligible for a grant?

There are a number of grants that you should consider before deciding on any upgrade to you home:

SEAI Better Energy Home Grants: This scheme provides grants to homeowners to upgrade their homes with energy efficiency measures, thus reducing energy use, costs and greenhouse gas emissions. – See more at: https://www.seai.ie/

The original Regulations for the grant scheme were amended by New Regulations in 2014.

This scheme provides grants to homeowners to upgrade their homes with energy efficiency measures, thus reducing energy use, costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Less abled refurbishment grants: A housing adaptation grant is available where changes need to be made to a home to make it suitable for a person with a physical, sensory or intellectual disability or mental health difficulty to live in.

The grant can help you to make changes and adaptations to your home, for example, making it wheelchair-accessible, extending it to create more space, adding a ground-floor bathroom or toilet or a stair-lift. In some cases, the provision of heating can be included, but only under certain conditions.

The Home Renovation Incentive (HRI): This scheme provides tax relief for you by way of an income tax credit at 13.5% of qualifying expenditure on:
